After the success of last year’s tournament things have been improved even more to ensure the best event yet in 2009. With a change of venue, the use of the Pirate’s Beach Bar and more teams, this will be the best in Europe’s hottest sports craze – Beach Rugby. The new venue takes the competition to the superb Magaluf Beach near Punta Ballena where the tournament is open to Men’s and Women’s social teams. While winning may be the goal for some, there will also be plenty of space for
those who want to take part in the legendary ‘Third Half.’ Rugby’s traditional after-game festivities will spill from the beach to the best clubs and pubs in this tourist
hotspot – players will never be far from the action and vibrant night life after 36 years - Mark Regan (28/01/1972) PULLING PINTS Lawrence Dallaglio will be an ambassador for Greene King IPA, the Official Beer of England Rugby, during the 2009 Six Nations. As part of his role Lawrence has already visited the Greene King brewery where he discussed the possibility of developing his own special commemorative brew. He will also be involved in the development of a grass roots programme that will see Greene King IPA unveil a new campaign to provide thousands of pounds worth of kit to amateur rugby clubs all over England. Greene King IPA is a major fixture at Twickenham, with fans able to enjoy a pint from a dedicated Greene King IPA cask bar, the Rose and Crown, in Twickenham’s West car park, and throughout the rest of the famous stadium.
